Supporting Saskatchewan Athletes
Proceeds from The River Gala & Regatta directly support the University of Saskatchewan Rowing Team and Saskatchewan's senior high-performance athletes by helping fund travel and competition expenses.
The Saskatoon Rowing Club has spent more than 50 years developing athletes from their first Learn-to-Row experience through national and international competition. Together with the University of Saskatchewan Rowing Team, the organizations provide a complete pathway from grassroots participation to varsity competition and national team aspirations.
Unlike many varsity rowing programs across Canada, University of Saskatchewan rowers receive no institutional funding and must cover the costs of training and competition themselves. Community and corporate support helps ensure talented athletes can pursue excellence both academically and athletically.
