Our Club
The Saskatoon Rowing Club (SRC) rows on the ever changing waters of the South Saskatchewan River - it is one of the most beautiful places to train as we row through the city of Saskatoon. Our goal is to provide not only an avenue for elite and competitive rowers to excel but also where recreational and new rowers can come to enjoy the fine sport of rowing. To this end, both Seniors, Masters and Recreational rowers will row alongside each other. Our club hosts our annual Head Race, a 5.5 km Regatta each September. The club also hosts training weekends for the Saskatchewan Summer Games Teams and the Regina Rowing Club.
Our Mission
The Saskatoon Rowing Club is a not for profit organization with a long tradition of recreational and competitive rowing in Saskatchewan. Our goal is to develop members' rowing abilities and continue to grow and share the exciting sport of rowing.
Our focus is to train year round and compete in a number of regattas throughout the regatta season. For those who are not interested in competing, we have a growing recreational group that meet several times a week to enjoy a less rigourous rowing experience. In this group it is left up to individuals to fit rowing into their own routines while still welcome and encouraged to make use of the training room, ergs and gym.
Our club is volunteer based, so there are always many important roles to fill ranging from committee positions, to helping learn to rows and cleaning and maintaining the fleet.
