The Learn to Row courses run out of the boathouse in Victoria Park with sessions running weekday mornings, evenings and weekends. In Learn to Row, you will be provided with a clear understanding of the skills necessary to effectively and safely maneuver a single scull. You will learn the basic parts of a boat, the calls, safety guidelines and great rowing technique.

The program includes six 2 hour lessons, including preparations for on-water sessions and an overview of the lesson for that day.

Session options:
Tuesday and Thursday at 6pm, and Saturday at 10am for two weeks
Monday, Wednesday, Friday at 6pm for two weeks
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 6am for two weeks
Register through our online registration via Rowing Canada.

Private or small group Learn to Row classes are available! Email us for more information.

Your continual improvement and progress will be monitored and will help us determine the next best program for you with the Saskatoon Rowing Club. All participants will receive a downloadable Learn To Row Manual and Certificate upon completion.

Investment: $135. Full payment is required for registration. All programs are non-refundable. In the unlikely event that a session is cancelled due to low number of participants, those who have registered will be given the option of re-scheduling or a full refund. If we are unable to row due to weather conditions, sessions will be rescheduled as needed.
