High Performance Transition Program

​A new program designed for athletes 15-19 years old who want to transition from their current competitive sport to rowing. This is a week-long fast-tracked program with the end goal of athletes joining our Junior High-Performance program. It is designed for athletes who have or currently competed at a high level and are looking to transition into another sport due to injury and/or interest. This will be coached by the Provincial Head Coach, Andrew Knorr and Head Club Coach, Elana Gelineau.  Athletes in this program may be identified to have a potential impact on team Saskatchewan’s 2022 Canada Summer Games team. 

INVESTMENT-
$180 including $44 Rowing Canada and Sask Rowing Insurance


DATE AND TIME- 
July 5-9, 2021 from 4:00-5:30pm

Register here: via Rowing Canada 
- Once you create an account press "Register/ Join" and then "Join a Program" 
- Select "Saskatoon Rowing Club"
- Here, you will be given options of programs to join.
​- Select the Learn to Row you would like and follow the steps to pay online. 
- If you are under the age of 18, you will need to have a parent/guardian accept the waivers for you. 
- Once you're registered, a few days before the Learn to Row, you will receive an email with instructions for the sessions

Monday:
- Body sequencing on rowing machine
- Tour of the boathouse
- Introduction to terminology

Tuesday:
- Rowing machine warmup and workout
- On water practice
Wednesday: 
- Rowing machine warmup
- On water practice
Thursday: 
​- On water practice 
Friday:
- On water workout (typical rowing style workout on the river)
COVID INFORMATION:
All provincial COVID-19 restrictions will be followed strictly. Boat cleaning, mask wearing while on land, and hand washing will be required. 


Cancellation:
Changes or cancellations will be accepted up to five business days before the start of class and are subject to a $50 administration fee. No refunds or changes will be permitted in the five business days before the start of class. All covid-19 related cancellations will receive a full refund.
